Summary: By this point in our world's history, we've mostly accepted that the gorilla isn't the man-eating monster our ancestors thought they were. In fact, they can make for amazing companions. But they are still children of the wild, so respect them. Or at least in this breed's case, do fear them.

History: In the darkest reaches of the Congo jungle, an expedition holding a special laser weapon was murdered by an unknown force. Now, the search party is here, aided by a hyper-intelligent gorilla named Amy. However, what they don't know is that those assailants were a savage breed of grey gorillas currently living at the base of a volcano in the lost city of Zinj. And it's filled with diamonds. A siren song for the greedy and a major obstacle for science.

Notable Kills: Almost all deaths are done by bashing someone's head in with a single blow.

Final Fate: After the laser is recovered and put to surprisingly good use, the volcano erupts, dooming the monstrous apes to extinction.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional, as well as respect for normal gorillas in order to give them space.

Scariness Factor: 4-Gorillas on the offensive are best avoided. But now we have a species that lives up to that undeserved savage reputation we gave their relatives. Most of the time, these guys look like corpses of gorillas attacking people with those unkempt faces of theirs. Though, considering that and their grey skin, were they in fact undead apes...?

Trivia: -There is an ongoing debate about whether or not there is a deleted scene with a gorilla wielding the laser. Personally, we'd pay to see that.

-Bruce Campbell was originally going to star alongside Tim Curry, but he went for a minor role instead. Still, he appreciate the pay, though he admits that he thought the film wouldn't be such a critical flop as it was.
